JTET Notification 2026: The Jharkhand JTET Notification 2026 has been released by the Jharkhand Government under the School Education and Literacy Department (Primary Education Directorate). The state government has issued the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test Rules 2026 through notification number 487 dated 26 March 2026.

The new rules have been framed under the provisions of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (RTE Act) and will be applicable throughout Jharkhand. The JTET 2026 will determine the eligibility of candidates for appointment as teachers in government and recognized elementary schools of Jharkhand.

Candidates who qualify JTET 2026 will become eligible for teacher recruitment processes for:

+2 or Higher Secondary with minimum 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
+2 with minimum 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE regulations
+2 with minimum 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
+2 with minimum 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Special Education
Graduation with 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education

Upper Primary Level Eligibility (Class 6 to 8)
